Exams begin at 9:00 AM.Exams are given at Bon Air United Methodist Church, 1645 Buford Road, in the Bon Air area of Richmond. The current testing fee is $0 (zero, zip, nothing because the Laurel VEC does not charge for supplies and processing).
For a quicker start, come with your FRN (FCC Registration Number). It is on your current license.
If you are taking the Tech exam, you are required by the Federal Government to have a FRN (Federal Registration Number). You can sign up for an FRN on the FCC website. Do a search for “FCC FRN” and that will give you a link the FCC site.
Walk-ins are always welcome. Pre-registration is not required.
