Volunteers Needed for the 2026 Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon
It’s that time of year again! We are looking for operators to help with the 2026 Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon, taking place on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
Operating public service events is not only fun—it’s also excellent training for emergency communications. Event nets are generally run much like emergency nets, giving us valuable experience communicating effectively under real-world conditions. Just as importantly, participating in community events shows our neighbors what amateur radio operators are capable of and helps give our hobby positive exposure.
No event-operating experience is required! If you’re new to public service communications, you’ll be paired with an experienced operator so you can learn and enjoy the event together.
Our Public Service Team is looking for volunteers to provide communications from various points along the marathon route.
